Symmmetry
In room five for maths we had to fold a square piece of paper and then we had to draw straight lines with a ruler on the coloured paper from the fold. We had to make shapes that had three sides, shapes that had four sides and shapes that had more than four sides. Then we put all the shapes on a a black piece of paper and on each piece of paper there was a different type of shape. The symmetry line splits the shape into two parts and the two parts have to be equal. The symmetry line is in the middle and it is there because the symmetry line was where we folded the paper. For me Bella,Annabelle and Amelia the threes were the hardest to make and the fours were the easiest to make.

Fraction Art
In room five we have been learning about fractions and we created some fraction art by cutting out a circle on coloured paper and then folding it into halves, quarters, eighths and sixteenths then after we folded we cut them out and made sea animals. My jellyfish is made of one half and six sixteenths. I used four halves, three quarters and twenty one sixteenths.
