Moonlight

Today on the Summer Learning Journey site it said to write about our home. We had to think about what is special about our home and then describe our home. It might be quiet then we have to use a  more detailed word or write how quiet it is. For example as quiet as a mouse.

  2. Hi Hannah,

That is a lovely description of your hometown! I live in Auckland in the North Island. I haven't been to the South Island many times before but I would love to visit your hometown one day. You have done an excellent job of describing your hometown with adjectives and similes, I can picture it clearly in my head, well done Hannah! You're very lucky to live near a river so that you can hop in whenever the weather gets hot, that must be so refreshing and relaxing! Auckland is a very busy city and it can get very busy so I think I would really enjoy listening to a night that is as quiet as a ladybug flapping its wings. Elephants are my favourite animals! I will definitely be making a trip to your hometown soon, it sounds like an amazing place, thanks for sharing! What is your absolute favourite thing to do or place to visit in your hometown?

It's great to see you using images to illustrate your blog posts.
