3-D-Printed Prosthetic Hands

On our blogs we had to write three things we learnt about 3-D-printed prosthetic hands and one thing that surprised us.  One thing I learnt was that they started to make these 3-d hands in 2013 and the one thing that surprised me was that most children getting access to the device is an impossible dream.

  1. Kia ora Hannah,

Thanks for sharing your blog post!

It is pretty crazy how expensive prosthetics limbs are. It’s a good thing communities like e-NABLE exist, as they are helping to provide prosthetic limbs to Children and Adults all over the world. And the best part is they are doing all of this for free! This means that getting access to these devices are no longer an impossible dream.

Have you ever used a 3D printer before? If you had one, what would you make?

  2. Hi Beren. I am happy that you like this post. I have never used a 3-d printer before but my brother has and if I had one I would make a d heart for my Nana. From Hannah
