Picture

For the last activity today I had to look at a picture and  then explain it in detail. the painting was black and white , one part of the picture would be would be white and then the other half would be black,  it was like yin and yang because yin and yang are black and white and they are different. Challenge

The second activity is where I have to write what I or someone else I know that has experienced a challenge and overcame it. The challenge I overcame was when I left home for the first time because I was a lot younger.

Rivalries

On our blogs we have to describe two rivalries that you have found and write who the two rivalries are between. One of the rivalries is Apple and Samsung because lots for example Samsung come out with a new phone then soon after Apple will come out with a new phone. The second rivalry is Apple and Microsoft because  they both make very great electronics so both are trying to beat each other.

My Role Model

The last one for today is that we had to think of who your role model is and what words of wisdom they have shared with us. My role model is Mum because  she tells me to " Never stop trying".

Groups

Another thing I had to do was write two or more facts about each group. We had to pick two groups. The two groups I picked was Inuit and Aboriginal Australians. Two things I learnt about the  Aboriginal Australians are that Aboriginal Australians are the oldest population living outside Africa and there are 250 distinct language groups spread throughout Australia. In the Inuit group their population lives in 51 communities spread across Inuit Nunangat and their people harvest country foods such as seal, narwhal and caribou to feed our families and communities.

10 Dollar Note

For one of today's activity's we had to think of who we want on the NZ 10 dollar note. Who I want on the ten dollar note is Kelly Jury because she is a famous netball player, she works hard and she is very talented. That why I think that Kelly Jury should be on the ten dollar note.

School Strike

The last activity is that we have to list three things that we have learnt about school strike for climate in Australia. First I learnt that they have demands, second was that they demand 100% renewable energy generation & exports by 2030 and that they demand No new coal, oil and gas projects. 

Rosa Parks

the second activity was where have to write what problems Rosa Parks faced when on the bus and what she did to solve that problem. The problem was that Rosa didn't think that it was fair that the African American people got treated badly, so she decided to stay where she was when the bus driver told her to move seats, but then she got arrested and went to court but then judge agreed with Rosa Park and so she didn't go to jail. After that Rosa's history would always be remembered.

Today for the S.L.J I had to write three things I have learned about either about Serena Williams or Venus Williams, we also have to write what we still want to know about that person. I choose  Serena Williams.  The three thing I learnt was that she is a famous tennis player, she was born on the 26 September 1981 and she is 38 years old. First Few Weeks

These first few weeks we have had lot on. In the first week back we had pet day and in pet day there were prizes and we got to choose an animal then do a project around that animal.  In the second week we started swimming and on Friday it was Grandparents day were we got to celebrate our loved ones. In week three we had athletics, the Halloween disco and swimming. These past few weeks have been busy but they were a lot of fun and excitement. My favourite day so far has been athletics.

Mufti Fun Run

Today is the fun run and we get to wear mufti, a onesie  or Pj's. I chose to wear mufti because I didn't have a onesie. I also wore this outfit because my mum picked it out for me. The fun run is were you raise money so that classes can go on camp and you can also get prizes. I am wearing a pink and blue striped top with white buttons. I really like this outfit because I like pink and blue. I think that my outfit is very comfortable.  

Little Red Riding Hood

This term we are doing a fairy tail production so we are learning about different fairy tails. This week have had to write a fractured fairy tail about Little Red Riding Hood. A fractured fairy tail is where you think of the main parts of the story and and then change some pieces of the story. I hope you like mine.

Today in room five we had to make a slide show that says what to do to make a good digital foot print. The amount of things we had to write about how to make a good digital foot print was four but I wrote six things. I think I exceeded the expectation of the writing. Hope you like it.

This week is road safety, and we are learning how and why we should wear a helmet. We had to work with someone that had a helmet if we didn't have one and my buddy was Chido because she had a helmet. Our buddies and ourselves had the choice of doing a slide show or a screencastify. We decided to make a screencastify and here it is. Hope you enjoy.

War Poem

In Room 5 we had to write a poem about the war because over the next two weeks we are learning about Anzac day. We have read three books about Anzac so then we had to write a poem that reflects what it is like to be in the war. Here is my writing hope you like it.

The ground is hard and muddy too, I fight the war for you

You should not forget, though I lay in poppies

We lay where we die on the battlefields, where poppies grow

We stand up tall and proud to fight the war

people die when the gunshots blow, now it is time to go  

We fight through the war when we have had no rest for days

Rest and hope is what we need, we lay on hard muddy sand bags

But we fight on for you to have freedom

The soldiers march and march to the dawn parade

to remember the ones they lost in war

The trumpet blows, people are silent to listen and pray

that no one else will die.

Today my team and I made a toy for rabbits. In our screencastify we will explain what everything is and what it does and how to works. In my team are Amelia, Lily and Chloe. Here is our screencastify that we made.

Superhero Comic

Today Madaline came in to teach us about how to be cybersmart. She told us to make a comic on our chromebook  and your theme was superheroes. What we had to do was get superhero images that were free and then think of what we should do with your chromebooks and how to look after them. Once we thought of what we should do with your chromebooks we had to write our idea into a speech bubble.
