What a great story! You had me hooked from the beginning. After such a sad introduction, I was really interested to see if things would get better for Rose, and they did. All good stories revolve around a struggle or a conflict, and you have done an excellent job of showing your character struggle with, and overcome, every obstacle thrown at her.
Did it take you long to write this? I can tell you put a lot of effort into creativity into it. I think you could be quite a clever storyteller if you keep on writing.
